Editor-in-Chief

My name is Nour, and I am from Chicago, IL.  Currently, I am a 4th year medical student at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a BA in English, and later received my M.S. in Biotechnology from Rush University in Chicago. After graduate school, I worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at UIC Department of Ophthalmology.  I have been heavily active in research since college and co-authored several papers and abstracts. My passion for surgery and writing inspired me to start this newsletter, since medicine is an constantly evolving field with new innovations developing every day. I wanted to share that with you all my peers and provide opportunities for us surgery nerds to meet one another as well. I named this newsletter the Keats after one of my favorite poets, John Keats. His accomplishments showed me that our varied interests can only be our strength, especially in the field of surgery which rewards innovation. My hobbies include writing, reading, rock climbing, and painting (when I have the time). Welcome to The Keats!
